What kind of holiday is it that you want?

You don’t even have to decide; sample the best of a whole range. Your walks and rides can be as level and short or as hilly and long as you like; culture goes from medieval to contemporary; there are sleepy villages, busy towns, canoe-trips, pony-treks and – of course – the lure of local vineyards.

Canoeing

If you’d rather be carried along by water than hoof, the Dordogne River’s perfect: its calm waters will gently guide you past villages and chateaux.

Pony riding

If you think the children might like the view from a pony’s saddle, the site’s only a five-minute drive from Lac de Barbe, a local equestrian farm.
